Mistborn is a popular fantasy book series by Brandon Sanderson, which follows a group of magic-wielding humans in a world where ash falls continuously from the sky. The first book in the series was published in 2006 and it has since gained a huge following.
In 2017, it was announced that the rights to adapt the Mistborn series into a film trilogy were acquired by DMG Entertainment. The adaptation will be produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Avengers films.
However, in 2021, it was announced that the adaptation plan had shifted from a film trilogy to a TV series, which will be developed by the Russo brothers and Sanderson himself. The series is set to be produced for the streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video.
There is currently no information on casting or a release date for the Mistborn adaptation.
